This is just a quick post to apologise for the lack of activity on here this month. I have a number of different posts half written, but have been struggling to focus and decide what to write about first. My case load is increasing at work, and I’m in the midst of Christmas preparations. As I mentioned last year, my family are very much Christmas people and after last year was such a dud, we are going all out this year.
Anyway, enough excuses, and here’s a taster of some of the things I have planned for you.
I am working on some more ‘law in practice’ style posts looking at:
– how the court makes capacity and best interests decisions
– what lawyers think when they read witness statements and reports with common errors
– some reflections on a recent hearing I attended where a litigant in person lost their cool
There are also some more insights into what a career in law is like in the pipeline, with some thoughts on the pros and cons of local authority working and private practice.
Also, I have some longer pieces (or possibly series) planned on some wider context issues such as the overlap between adult social care and education, and housing implications for adult social care.
Hopefully you will find some of these worth the wait. But as always, if there’s something you would particularly like some help with, feel free to drop me a message via the website or Facebook page and I will do my best to assist
